MARTIN Antoine

Antoine Martin is a research director at the CNRS within the Montpellier Plant Sciences Institute (IPSIM). His research focuses on the regulation of signalling networks involved in mineral nutrition in plants. Overall, the aim of this work is to identify and characterise the molecular, cellular and physiological mechanisms that enable plants to adapt their growth and development to low nutrient availability in the soil, particularly nitrate. In recent years, he has been particularly interested in the effect of climate change and rising atmospheric CO2 on mineral nutrition, through the regulation of nitrate transport and assimilation in plants.
